How the iPhone’s app launcher needs to learn from S60

UI junkies might like to read over my diatribe over on All About iPhone (distant cousin of AAS) on how Cupertino’s finest could learn a valuable lesson from Nokia and S60. NB. I’ll leave off the comments thread here, as there’s one on the original article on AAI…

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic for gaming and N-Gage?

Another week, another member of the AAS team succumbs to 5800 XpressMusic and S60 5th Edition fever. Tzer2 now has the touch-screen phone and here presents a look at how suitable it is for gaming in general and for N-Gage in particular. The 5800 gets synced to Mac

Although not listed on all Nokia support sites, the 5800 XpressMusic seems to have gotten its iSync profile at last, meaning that you can sync it officially to a Mac. Screenshot and links below.

YouTube Clips Now Can Be Viewed Via Wii or PS3 Consoles

YouTube has created a new online tool that allows users to screen video clips via a Nintendo Wii or Sony PlayStation 3 console. Youtube.com/TV has the ability to search and browse clips, as well as the choice of automatically playing a series of videos from a playlist or search results.

Don't have an Apple TV or a TiVo box, and have been lusting after watching YouTube videos from your couch? If you've got a Nintendo Wii or a Sony PlayStation 3 video game console, the Google property has just released an overhauled version of its living room-friendly console interface that puts it about on par with those two offerings.

By visiting Youtube.com/TV in your Opera or PS3 browser, you get a new layout that lets you browse and search through videos.
